I'd like to dedicate this post to my mom.
Hi, mom! I know you're reading this because you are and have always been, my biggest fan. See, my mom is not only the first to read our Momidarity blog each day, but she's the first to like and share the post on Facebook. And sometimes she's the only one. She rocks.
But I'm not writing today to thank you for supporting me and Joe on our little start up, rather I want to thank you for all the times I probably didn't say thank you. But should have.
Thank you, mom, for wiping my butt when I was a baby, and for wiping my tears through my twenties.
Thank you for spending countless hours sitting in the car, driving me to theater, voice and dance lessons. Sometimes waiting patiently in the parking spot, because it was easier than driving home.
Thank you for making me over 3000 school lunches.
Thank you for letting me wear my Michael Jackson sweatshirt every day during my pre-teen years.
Thank you for letting me be a moody teenager, and for giving me the freedom to safely experiment and make mistakes.
Thank you for giving me a sibling.
Thank you for sending me to college. And for being my cheerleader though all of my smart and not so smart career plans.
Thank you for being a mom who was cool, but never too cool.
Thank you for always checking on me in the morning, during those weeks when Tony travels. And thank you for the dinners, the dishes and the massive amounts of help when I'm alone with the kids.
Thank you for being a mom who now makes my friends baby quilts.
Now that I'm a mom, I know how thankless the "job" can feel sometimes, but please know that I am so grateful every day for all that you have done for me. And so thank you mom, for being my role model, and my best friend.
I love you!
